WHO IS JESUS CHRIST?

Jesus Christ is the Son of God who entered our world with an intention, which was to rescue us from ourselves, our sin and the devices of the evil one, Satan. This comes through the love of God declared on the Cross of Christ, when Jesus offered up His life so that we could have a new life of faith, hope and love. This life begins in surrendering ourselves to the God who loves us.

Our ultimate objective as followers of Christ is to become like him.

Scripture: “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name (Jesus Christ the Lord) under heaven given to (people) by which we must be saved” Acts 4:12, cf. Philippians 2: 6-11.

“My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father-Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.” I John 2:1-2

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (I Peter 1:3).

“…live as Jesus did” I John 2:6

God has revealed the essence of his existence as trinity, three persons of the Godhead co-existing in beautiful harmony as each fulfills the purposes of the unified intention of the One. There is only “One” self-existent God and he lives as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The “Three” have made a way for us to know him. The Father has designed the plan. The Son, Jesus Christ, has secured the authentic means for us to be freed from sin and come into a relationship with God. The Holy Spirit will apply this rescue and set us on a new journey with God, adopted into his family, the church – a community of faith, hope and love.
